Diplomatic missions

Romania's ambassadors

Ambassadors by country, with each flag

Ambassadors are appointed and recalled by decrees of the President. The decrees hold 756 appointments and 528 recalls, from 1990 on. The page by country shows, for each, who is named now and who was before. A decree does not say who sits in the embassy today, so "now" means the last person named, with no recall or successor after.

The state budget

The ministry's money

All ministries, by year

How much the ministry got from the state budget in each year and what share of that year's whole budget it is. These are the amounts of the budget voted for the year (the budget credits, from every source), not actual spending; "of GDP" relates them to the year's gross domestic product, so that years are comparable. The name is the one the budget gives that year.

Ministerial history

24 periods · 19 people · 8 sat in Parliament while in office

The periods come from the President's decrees (appointment, dismissal, resignation, acting posts), and the title is the decree's: the same ministry has gone by different names over the years. Where today's ministry was several ministries (industry, commerce, tourism), their ministers appear side by side. A government whose naming decree is not in the catalog is not here.
